Port and Terminal Congestion Update

-Los Angeles, CA

  • Some containers are taking 1-2 weeks for rail loading at port due to the lack of the rail car availability and increased cargo volumes.
  • Currently Long Beach, CA port is more congested for some containers.
  • General Average (GA) has been declared for the “ONE HENRY HUDSON / V.095E” which caught fire in LA after the fire incident occurred on board the vessel on 11/21 upon port arrival. (Our customers’ containers that are listed as GA have been notified individually. ) Regarding Nissin’s handling containers, none of containers’ discharge (from this vessel) are currently confirmed after the accident.

 

-Tacoma, WA

  • Congestion is a result of rail car shortages and increased cargo volumes.
  • Some containers are taking 1-2  weeks for rail loading at port

-Vancouver, BC

  • Congestion is a result of rail car shortages and increased cargo volumes.
  • Some containers are taking 1-2 weeks for rail loading at port

-Chicago CYs

  • Some containers ground without chassis and chassis mismatch due to Chassis shortages at CYs.
  • Drivers needing to go finding the chassis and get in line for mount the container on a chassis, spending longer time at CY to pick up the containers
